After looking for a place to celebrate my birthday on a low key level, I asked my friend for suggestions on places where I could simply get drunk and play video games, so 10 year old Ericka could be proud of 30 year old Ericka. Everyone IMMEDIATELY told me about Crab Town USA and gave it high praise. Wanting to avoid the loud and lights that is Dave & Busters, I came here.... And instantly fell in love. Was warmly greeted by staff soon as I walked in. Told them it was my birthday and they instantly topped me off with a double whiskey/Pepsi. They explained their menu, video games, gambling systems and told me if I needed any help, to just bug them. Food was good, I had fried oysters that were huge and fresh along with some decent crinkle cut fries. Delicious. After playing some scratch offs and running some birthday lotto numbers, I spent the next hour in and out the arcade, playing pinball and classics like Streetfighter, The Simpsons and Super Mario Bros. I had a wonderful time. Food was great, games were great, drinks were even better and the staff was so nice to me. I will be in again next week with friends for more fun.

Having never been here before I had no idea what to expect.... Is it a run down bar, is it a high end crab shack? I was a little scared. But onward and forward!!! We pulled in and discussed a game plan for a quick get away if we walked in and it was bad. Once we hit the door my heart dropped and was immediately put at ease. We were greeted by friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. It was not a run down bar, but did have a bar and keno for those wanting to relax and have some fun. It was not a high end restaurant but was clean and welcoming, you could relax and enjoy yourself. We ordered crabs (of course) and while we waited the waitress made sure we were okay and kept us updated on our food status. When the crab came out they were amazing! Full of meat and heavy, I was very pleased. They even had a classic arcade in the back for kids or kids at heart! I would and will definitely return here.

I'm giving this restaurant three stars because of the nostalgia it brings back with the video games and the friendly staff! We came here for an outing with the job and the service was great but the food, well let's just say I'd never come back here to eat. I literally ran out of the door gagging because of the DEAD FLY whose final resting place was in my cocktail sauce. Yes I upheaved what I had eaten on the pavement in front of the restaurant. Another member of my group ordered the old bay wings. They were a beautiful golden brown on the outside but still ice cold on the inside to the bone. He sent them back and all the kitchen did was drop them back in the grease (including the one bitten by him/touched by me) and bring them back out! Needless to say the wings were sent back! Finally, there was a pregnant roach walking up the wall behind the table we were seated at. The sanitation in this restaurant is equivalent to that of a third world country...THEY GOTS TO DO BETTER!!! The games were still fun!

Went here to play pinball last night and walked into their new remodel. Much better family ambience and a lot less creepier than before. Crabtowne now looks like it had been through an episode of kitchen nightmares. Servers were really nice and took time to talk to us about recent changes. Best of all we walked in on their unadvertised special of all you can eat crab with a side of free watermelon or corn on the cob for 35 bucks pp. Omg so glad I went and can't wait to go again!

I've ordered for take out twice here. Their crab cake is yuuummm! I am supposed to give them a 5 star, but the second time we ordered here, they messed up my soup. I ordered for maryland crab soup and they gave me a different soup. I will still give them a chance thou. This time, i will make sure my order is correct.

I can't judge the food, since I've only ever gone to the arcade portion, but the all-you-can-eat crab platters looked delicious. The arcade has potential, but sadly, many of the machines are broken. Worse, some of them aren't even marked as out of order, so they just eat your quarters when you find out the buttons/guns/pedals don't work. They do have an impressive selection of pinball tables, and the vast majority of the games are still just 25 cents. It's an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon, but sad that they don't put more effort into keeping all the vintage machines working.

Avoid this place, the food is not worth the time or cost. The arcade is an interesting selection, if the fighting games weren't perpetually broken it might be worth a look for fighting game fans. The pinball machines are definitely the highlight of this place, there are a few uncommon arcade games worth playing a few times but because nothing new ever gets added you will probably be done in 30 minutes. The Taito games are the highlight, specifically Crime City. Bottom line, this place just isn't a good arcade unless you want to play pinball and the food is pretty awful.

This is a cool family owned and ran establishment. The food is ok but crab cake had a weird taste, but the shrimp were great. The neat part of this joint is the arcade. They aren't many arcades in the area and I love how cheesy and classic this selection is. I like the claw machine with old toys inside and pinball. I am giving them 4 stats for the great makeover and trying switch the place up. They need help on the food!

PROS: --Super nice staff! Our server was a delight! --Arcade in the back! --Interesting crowd of people. Seems like a local favorite. --delicious food --Bathrooms are single person use only and very clean! --The name of this place is just hilarious. Who doesn't wanna head on down to Crab Town USA? HUH?! --We got the fried pickles, crab lump cake burger, maryland crab soup, and a bowl of cream of crab soup. All delicious! CONS: --It's sooo cold in the arcade. Bring a jacket or you might freeze. --They charge for refills on their sodas and sweet teas. --The beer selection is a tiny bit limited, though they do have some good ones on tap. Wish they served more local Maryland beers though.

Crab Town USA merits a 3 because the food is competent, not great, and the waitstaff is nice though slow, perhaps because they're understaffed. My cream of crab soup and crab cakes were good. The decor, however, was fantastic - quintessential Maryland. The arcade was too loud for part of the dining room and we had to move. The multiple keno machines were gaudy.

Beer selection is decent for a local joint and out of a whim I asked if they could do an irish coffee after my meal, that did! Apps ordered were hush puppies, crab balls, and calamari - each very tasty and ample portions. For main meals we ordered the fish/chips & fried shrimp - again very tasty, well cooked, and ample portions. The arcade I didn't visit, but looks very cool and a flashback to the 80s. The owner talked to us for a bit, I asked about a remodel (read previous review stating tables were lawn chairs), they remodeled last year and her husband made the tables. She was very friendly while also being not pushy, I think her name was Darlene. Overall a positive experience, we will definitely be back again.

The service is horrible and the food is so-so to say the least. The wait staff walks by you and avoids eye contact. We sat at our table over an hour before the guests at the table next to our table offered us a beer cause we never were served after being seated.

I tried Crab Town USA for the first time, ordered a half dozen of steamed crabs and a few ears of corn. The crabs were really good and I was equally excited when I opened my bag and they gave me a whole dozen instead of half! Thank you so much! I will return!

Video games for 25 cents, pinball games for 25 cents, it's like stepping back in time! The food isn't high end--sorta greasy, but definitely put together by hand with some level of love. They have beer. They have gambling. They have lottery. They have lots of giant tables for big parties. They have TVs. They have parking. The only drawback is that some of the games are out of order and the game room is a little dirty, but what can you do with little kids eating grimy food and then running around the game room? Just wash your hands before you grab a slice of pizza, and HAVE FUN!

The food was okay, but the real draw is the arcade. My boys loved the pinball machines as well as all the oldie games my husband grew up with. My LO adored the Star Wars pinball machine. I didn't fare so well playing it. :)

This is the perfect little late night crab joint. I wanted seafood late one night and they were open. I arrived 30 mins before the kitchen closed and the staff was still welcoming. We got crab cakes, snow crab legs, cream of crab soup, fried shrimp, whiting. All of the food was delicious. The crab cake had very little filler and was cooked perfectly. The crab soup was thick and creamy with lots of lump crab meat. The soup and crab cake had more shells than I like but the taste makes it worth picking them out. My gf said the whiting was delicious, but fried a little bit too hard. Overall this is a good place to go, if you are not looking for fancy and just want some seafood.

The arcade and pinball machines are awesome! My father in law loves the crabs here. I've eaten here and the food is okay, but I find the excessively over abundance of keno in the dining area a real detraction to the dining experience. The staff is friendly though. The arcade is hands down the reason it attracts me and some of my friends. Hard to find a pinball machine anywhere on location nowadays and this place has about a dozen from the 80s and 90s.

Crab dip, balls and cake all had shells and a very fishy flavor. Muscles were served with their steam water and pancakes for dipping. Oysters were super small, chicken sandwich was literally the apitamy of a skiny slab of rubber chicken, chicken tender kids meal was a joke and steak sub was more like a cheese burger sub. Environmentally, I think they recently did some renovations which has made it much more comfortable and pleasant (besides the tables where you can see old nasty food stuck in between the planks). Service really depends on the staff member assigned to your table, some are EXCELLENT while others make you feel uncomfortable asking for something because they look over worked and exhausted. Games in the game room are older games, great for older generation and exciting to get your little ones into the games we grew up with. Beers are good prices and they have a 4-7 happy hour. Prices are a bit on the high side for the seafood items (which aren't up to Maryland standards). Sandwichs are reasonably priced. I wish they had eggs Benedict on their menu but they dont, so doubt we will try breakfast.

The place is a total dive but the crabs were to die for! We got a whole bushel to take home for a huge family gathering and they were a big hit! It took about 30 minutes for the crabs to be prepared and the kids spent that time running around the amazing throwback arcade complete with a wall of pinball machines and classic 1980s arcade games, all the ones you used to love. I didn't have the food here so I can't speak for that but I can speak for the beers and arcade section. The place is very clean and the staff is fabulous and friendly. The restaurant has a variety of.comfortable looking booths and tables but it was pretty empty when I went. They have about a half dozen beers on tap, including hard cider and Sam Adams which run up to $8.50 for a pitcher. The pitchers hold about 4.5 glasses so it is a great deal. When I went the arcade machines were all in order and cost between 25 to 50 cents. They have over a dozen pinball machines including Twilight Zone, Simpsons, Star Wars. They have maybe three dozen or so arcade games ranging from some awful 80s trivia game to Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Police Trainer and Bart versus...Aliens? Or the World? He's fighting something and it only costs a quarter to find out what. For a couple of pitchers of beer and some quarters you can have a lot of fun for under $20 total. I do recommend you bring $1 or $5 bills for the change machine but they also have cups of quarters they can sell you if you only have a card on you.

I'm allergic to seafood, so I'm only able to give a review on the arcade they have there. Classic cabinet arcade games and lots of pinball. They stay on top of repairs. Would love to see some other classic games come in: Donkey Kong Jr., Tutankhamen, Scramble, Kangaroo, Time Pilot. I'm told the food there is really good too.

I didn't eat here, just played video games and pinball! This place is kinda awesome. Lots of pinball machines and they have a couple dollar bill changers. It's fun to play the games and they had a bunch that I had never seen before including Popeye and Bad Cats (which has awesome audio and art on it). Do not touch the food. Do, however, collect all your laundry (or emergency gas) quarters, smoke something special in the parking lot, and prepare to be blown away when you step inside. I think CrabTown USA is going to be my new litmus test for dates, and whether or not I could truly be happy with someone. I may not be the biggest or most fervent Pinball afficionado or video game dork, but as a child of 1981, it is my birthright to love these things and seek out the nostalgia of that long-lost pixilated time.

I can only re-iterate what other's have said. Food doesn't look to appetizing but the arcade is the best I've seen in over a decade. Dare I use the language of Lincoln and say the best I've seen in a "score"? In fact, since my days of lounging around at Park Place in Severna Park I have seen scant evidence of an arcade anywhere since the home-console revolution of the 2000's. Did I mention that you can get yourself a beer at the counter and play arcade games? KISS Pinball, Street Fighter 2, Original Super Mario Bros, Twister (the movie) pinball, Galaga, Pacman, Ms Pacman, Q-Bert, on and on and on... my brain just exploded. If this place figured out a way to get a few signature items like a banging crab cake or really awesome burgers or awesome pizza or something it could really pack the place. I would also recommend to the owners to find an easier way to withdraw cash from an ATM and get quarters for the arcade. The change machines are super old-school and getting cash from "debit" using the front counter is really inconvenient. Anyways, highly recommend for any arcade lovers out there. These are a dying breed.

I went here when I was younger and loved it, probably because of the arcade games. Now that I'm older I cant understand why my family took me here. The crabs I had were not very good at all, no butter served with them. The entire place is so dirty. Plan to go back for the crabs, but the fried oyster sandwich I had and the soft shell crab sandwich my wife had were nonetheless good. The game room is definitely a must-see, but there were so many that were out-of-order (as of 11/6/10) that it was disappointing.

Crabtowne is a pretty blue collar joint. There are more TVs dedicated to Keno an CGI horseraces than Orioles games, the tables are mostly lawn furniture or cheap Office Depot tables, the beer selection is largely Coors and such (no Natty Boh, however), and a good percentage of the crowd is pretty vocal about football. And that's great. The service is friendly and fantastic - our waitress was pretty amazing. She laid cups of ice in our pitchers to keep them cold (an astounding trick I'd never heard of), kept the food coming, and set us up with all the necessities. The shrimp that came with the crabs was fantastic, as were the cheese sticks, and we were given tons of sauce and seasoning (I turned away the butter for the crabs, which I regret). The crabs themselves came out hot, and I was surprisingly full in an hour. I can't say it was the best crab meat ever, but the crabs were decently sized, and for $31-ish, the all-you-can-eat was right on. The real treat of Crabtowne, however, is the massive arcade in the back. Check out the pictures I've posted, where I tried to capture images of the most recognizable games, and I probably only got images of 40% of what they have. Everything ranges from .25 to .50, with most pinball games and Street Fighter II comprising the .50 games. Random note(s): 1.) This place apparently serves breakfast. 2.) No outside tables, but you wouldn't want to sit outside anyway - it's near an overpass, and it's on a major road. 3.) I'd bring handi-wipes or something with you. 4.) The bathrooms are pretty gross, along the lines of a gas station bathroom. And NO MIRRORS. 5.) I've seen people claim a lot of games are out of order. I only noticed one or two pinball games and maybe 3 or 4 arcade cabinets that were shut off, one of which was the original (single screen game) Mario Bros. No big deal. 6.) A hipster crowd showed up to hang out in the arcade and drink. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a popular hipster hangout in the evening. 7.) I was impressed by the arcade selection, but, they don't have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 or 2, Rampart, Captain America and the Avengers, X-Men, GI Joe, Spider-Man, Bad Dudes, WWF Superstars, WWF Wrestlefest, Punisher, 1941, Aliens vs. Predator, NARC, or any NEO GEO cabinets. 8.) Like any good old fashioned arcade, there are plenty of barstools to sit and play on. 9.) This place has no A/C. They have tons of fans (which can be a little scary if it starts blowing Old Bay and napkins around), but the arcade gets pretty humid. I was a little sweaty.

While I have never eaten at Crab Town, they have the BEST arcade. They have a huge room of awesome vintage pinball machines and other rare arcade games. My personal faves are Beer Tapper and Star Wars pinball. So glad places like this still exist!

Skip the food. Play lots of pinball! Many of the games are only $.25. The change machines are ancient so either bring your own quarters or have the cashier count out quarters for 5 minutes.

when you pay $32 per person for all-you-can-eat crabs, you get what you pay for. piles and piles of overcooked, tiny crabs. i think they were pre-steamed and re-heated, which is always disappointing. they were dry and the old bay barely stuck to their shells. steamed shrimp (also all-you-can-eat and included in the price) was much better and more likely cooked to order. side orders were awful; frozen oven-baked fries with velveeta = "cheese fries;" hushpuppies... there were 6 of them, each the size of a spinning quarter. in a giant lined basket. okaaayyy... cream of crab soup made me ashamed of my fellow baltimore compatriots, and i can only conclude that some jerk from pittsburgh made it to make us look bad because they're jealous. :) but seriously, it sucked. the server was good, but seemed overly nervous for some reason. the boyfriends kept asking the girlfriends for dollars so they could go pleasepleasepleaseplease play the '80s-era arcade games, which i admit was a pretty cool little addition to the cafeteria-esque restaurant "ambiance." also decked out with probably more keno screens and lottery machines than tables/chairs. overall, food seemed to be a secondary endeavor in this joint, and if i ever came back, it would be to throw my boyfriend a totally sweet throwback birthday party in the arcade.

Lets be honest here, nobody goes to crabtowne usa for the food, people come here for the MASSIVE game room with over 70 classic titles, cheap beer and keno. So if you want great seafood at a reasonable price, this aint it. HOWEVER, if you want to play some great arcade games, drink cheap beers and play keno there is no better place in maryland.

Celebrated my sons 18th birthday party here.Called ahead of time to reserve seating for the party.They do not host parties meaning you have to brink your cake and party supplies with you.My son loves video games and crabs so thought why not combine the both.The food was good.Everyone in my party got some type of seafood.The steamed shrimp was steaming when served.My cream of crab soup was delicious and not one shell piece in the bowl.My son enjoyed his snow crab clusters.Will have to try their other homemade soups some other time..They do have pizza on the menue so that's good for those that are on a budget and want to have a party here.Plenty here to eat besides seafood.Our server was very attentive.The staff is nice and genuine.The video arcade room is awesome!So many games to play.Most games take 25 cents but some take 50 cents.Also there is no time frame like some other places have so you don't have to rush to do everthing.I wish I would of know about this place sooner so I could of had my son's other birthday parties here.This is a great place to have a party for anyone that loves old fashion video arcade or pinball games.

PRO - There are 95 vintage video and pinball games to play. So, if you want to play games like Tapper, Ms. Pacman, Terminator, Donkey Kong, Pole Position, Addams Family Pinball, Star Wars Pinball; its a fun time. Though there aren't many multiplayer games. Food Staff is friendly. CON - The food is HORRIBLE! I ordered a oyster sandwich which tasted of unchanged oil/burnt taste and was partially raw! The cream of crab and the crabcake smelled fishy, meaning it wasn't fresh. We also ordered a shrimp salad sandwich on toast and the bread wasn't toasted at all. As others have said, they charge $1 for drink refills. In short, you can come and go at the arcade without being charged, so I recommend having a meal elsewhere before going to the arcade or go eat somewhere else and come back to play. Leave only buying drinks there.

Crab cake was overly spicy!!! Wait service was terrible my dad ordered a cheeseburger but wanted it on a subroll the burger is usually 7 but they tried to charge 12.50 for his burger how does that add up for a roll? They gladly took the price off but honestly this place is just bleek restaurant really nothing to go crazy about.

I can only review this for the arcade, not for the food. I've never eaten there, and I likely never will, which is the only reason it got 4 stars and not 5. SO many video classic video games, pinball machines, etc. It's like flashing back to the mid 1980s. I could spend all night playing games there and never need a break. Any children of the 70s or 80s can regress, and children of the 90s can see what they missed by not being born in the era of the arcade. This was my date night with my husband, and after posting it to Facebook, about 20 people had messaged to ask me where this amazing place was. We have group plans to go back. I can't recommend the arcade portion highly enough.

Service was friendly! Food was served in ugly aluminum trays. Not my kind of style but "hey" I knew it is not fancy, which is fine! Hubby was not impressed by a dark brown, deep fried, tasteless soft crab sandwich. My 11.00$ crab dip was not what I expected. Had better ones! Clearly over prized for a really little, reheated portion of crab mush with an unidentified flavor. Nope! Sorry! Will not give it another try nor recommend it!

Let me just say I've been going for a while. Every time I go in the staff is always pleasant. The new and improved crabcakes are amazing and the arcade is phenomenal. So my son love crab cakes, and we had just left a doctor's office. GPS found this place for us as we are not familiar with Glen Burnie. The crab cakes were good, although the place is too focused on the arcade games and the various lottery games. Not the food. We came in after lunch rush, but it was several minutes before the staff paid us any attention or even let us know whether to sit or not. Bizarre. While we waited a good long time for our food, I browsed the paper and did the puzzles while my son read one of his favorite books. When I paid, the waitress said "you all are readers," with a tone as if it was very strange of us to be doing so. It was all we could do to ignore the tawdry daytime celebrity gossip show in the background. My son had the crab cake platter for 20 bucks. He said the cakes were pretty good with a fair amount of crab meat. But he was not impressed enough to go back. And the rest of the platter was sub-standard for that price. The green beans were to fresh vegetables what zombies are to healthy living. I had the soft crab sandwich on a "Kaiser" roll. This roll was not even fit for a pawn, let alone a German emperor. I'm not sure about the soft crab, I am waiting for gastric results. With chips and a sorry looking pickle this cost me about 12. We had two medium soft drinks for a total of around $35. Never going back!

OK, it looks like a dive, but if you are looking for a arcade particularly Pinball machines, this is the place, about 20 Pins all working. Their food is more a 3 star, the subs are good. for $31 you can get all you can eat crabs and shrimp. Honestly what crab house have you been in that was pristine clean? I plan to go back.

This place is a dive if ever there was one. I used to live near here and would come in and get their all-you-can-eat crabs and some beers from time to time. The crabs were always good, as it's pretty hard to mess up cooking a crab. They also give you steamed spiced shrimp along with the crabs. So you are probably wondering at this point why I'm giving a dive that serves ordinary crabs a 4 star rating....WELL...that would be due to the fact that the room adjacent to the dining area contains tons of vintage 1980's arcade games and pinball machines. Get your aligator shirts out, pop the collar, tight-roll those pant cuffs and put on your Oakley's (I apologize in advance to anyone who still dresses this way) because you are about to be transported back to the fabulous 80's when you walk through that arcade door. It is literally a full blown arcade with all the favorites from back in the day. I used to sit in there and play Tapper, Karate Champ and PinBot for hours on end. And of course, just like the 80's, the games are only a quarter and you don't die every 30 seconds. Whenever I go there, I usually have the place to myself....except for this one guy that is ALWAYS there playing Mappy. I don't think anyone really knows what a treasure trove of old video games lies hidden within this place. For the longest time, I thought it was just an old abandoned restaurant. So, for some good crabs and some great old video games, stop in to Crab Town USA. If you see a guy hogging the Tapper game and drinking a bottle of Bud Light, be sure to say Hi to me!
